Vacaville Rotary Club hosts their annual Kid's Fishing Derby at Lake Solano on Saturday from 8-12. We encourage families to go to the FREE Fishing Derby first (kids who go early will get free fishing poles, bait, a snack and gain confidence by fishing in a stocked pond) and then come over to the Youth Campground for Family Camp. More information on the Kid's Fishing Derby can be found HERE >>
Camp check-in will be officially open from 10am-12pm. Please arrive no earlier than 10am on Saturday unless you are on the setup team. Feel free to come and go freely from camp during the day, however, the gates will be closed at 9pm on Saturday and then reopened Sunday morning.

The Cub Scout program emphasizes and teaches children about healthy food choices. The menu for camp, while not perfect, is intended to offer relatively healthy choices for meals and snacks. Nearly all meals are a combination of pack-provided fare and potluck. Please review the Sign Up Genius for what your family can bring >> HERE.
MENU: Saturday Lunch: Potluck
Afternoon Snack: cheese + salami, fruit
Dinner: Chicken Drumsticks and Burgers*, sides
Cracker Barrel: crackers and cheese, fruit, hot chocolate
Sunday Breakfast: muffins and bagels, sausages, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, OJ
*NOTE! Pack will provide the burgers (buns, cheese and condiments) and chicken drumsticks for grilling. Side dishes and the like will be potluck and on the Sign Up Genius. Special dietary needs: we endeavor to create meals that accommodate everyone, however, if someone has a special need in your family that is not met by the established menu, please feel free to bring what you need (in your own cooler if required.)
Crews are needed to administer each mealtime. Please plan to sign up to help when you arrive at camp.

This is located about a mile away from the main Lake Solano Campground, on Putah Creek Road, which is off Pleasant Valley Rd and just south of the main Lake Solano Campground. (See map.) If you're coming from the Main Campground, go South on Pleasant Valley Rd, make the 1st left onto Putah Creek and approximately 1/2 mile up the road on the left will be the entrance to the Youth campground.
There is a bathroom with flush toilets, lots of shade, picnic tables and BBQs.
